Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory with an area of 6.8 square kilometers and population of 34,003 people [source] It is located in the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula and is bordered to the north by Spain.

Relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions in Gibraltar
On March 24, 2021 the Government of Gibraltar announced relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions due to the very low rates of active coronavirus cases in Gibraltar. According to the Government's decision the curfew was cancelled. Bars and restaurants were permitted to remain open till 2am. The requirements for the wearing of masks were also eased. Masks are no longer required outdoors in Main Street and its derivatives. Shops, gyms and hair and beauty salons were permitted to open. Entry restrictions and requirements
From March 30, 2021 passenger travel between the UK and Spain resumed, however entry restrictions and testing requirements remain in force. Only specified categories of people are permitted to enter Gibraltar by air – these include registered Gibraltarians, residents of Gibraltar, Spanish nationals and residents in transit to Spain, and those working in Gibraltar. In addition, travelers must present proof of a negative result from a PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in Gibraltar, or take a fast test on arrival at Gibraltar Airport. These restrictions also apply for entry to Spain through the Gibraltar border.
Mass events in Gibraltar
Pre- and Post-event testing is a requirement for all attendees and measure for holding safe mass events. It is likely that all large events will require a negative COVID test for those participating.
On March 27, 2021 the Boxing event was held in Gibraltar which involved the deployment of a pilot public health measure to ensure a safe system of organization for all attendees. All of those persons were successfully tested afterwards and no new cases were revealed. Similar criteria applied to the international football match.
Further relaxation of COVID-19 restriction
The Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo and the Minister for Health Samantha Sacramento on April 8, 2021 announced the further relaxation of restrictions connected with COVID-19 pandemic in Gibraltar.
From April 16, 2021 there are no numerical restrictions on the numbers of persons who can gather in public.
Further relaxations of restrictions applicable to catering establishments: there are no longer restrictions on the numbers of people who may sit together at a table in a catering establishment. The contact tracing requirement in restaurants remains. Also there are no longer a requirement for staff working inside catering establishments to wear a double mask. Catering staff is required to wear only a single mask. As from the 1st of May it is expected that every catering member of staff who has received a double dose of vaccination will be able to dispense with the wearing of a mask.
People who have been fully vaccinated and identified as contacts, are deemed casual contacts and are no longer required to self-isolate.
Masks are no longer required to be worn in any outside public place. Whereas masks are no longer required inside the majority of places, they still continue to be required inside retail shops and on public transport only.
